Where’d You Go, Bernadette by Maria Semple is one of the best books I read in 2015.
Bernadette Fox goes missing two days before Christmas break. Her daughter Bee is then shipped to boarding school where she receives a mysterious manila envelope full of documents…her mother’s correspondence with her assistant, her dad’s emails, even their neighbor’s hand-written notes to the gardener. So she writes a book of all events leading to her mother’s disappearance.
my honest opinion: five-star light read. Loved every bit of it (except the parts with that witch Soo-Lin, when you read the book, you’ll hate her too).
